Tomorrow’s Headline “Freese Out In St. Louis”

Posted on October 10, 2011

I have been battling an illness the past two days, but nothing can stop me from getting a bet in on tonights World Series. The St. Louis Cardinals take on the Texas Rangers in the Arch city, where temps are expected to be in the 40′s with mist and rain to boot. ESPN has 21 of 24 of their “experts” picking Texas to win the series, and while this very well may happen, lets take a look at game one first shall we. The Cards have New Hampshire boy Chris Carpenter on the mound. He has been pitching well and the cold should not bother him too much right? Then we have big Albert on the big stage with a big no contract situation looming over him and the owners. Then we have our predicted headline boy. David Freese is on fire in the postseason. He is batting .425 going 17 for 40 in 12 games with 5 Doubles 4 Home Runs and 14 RBI’s. His salary is $416,000…talk about playing for a contract. This is a future star in the making and he should be fun to watch and see if he can keep it going or not. NLCS MVP… now World Series MVP?

Getting sleepy again… time for some Dayquil (gotta stay up for the game)
