Game 6 of the World Series has been postponed due to the weather. More accurate would be to say that moving Game 6 and Game 7 to Thursday and Friday respectively will not conflict with any NFL games or other sporting events that would overshadow baseball’s finale. If this was a Friday game MLB would try to get it in.
So for me, I placed a bet early this morning on Over 7.5 Runs with Garcia and Lewis the scheduled pitchers. I am not sure if this bets stands if the pitchers end up changing. The bet (which is bet number 200 of this experiment) was an even money bet (bet $100 to win $100). I will post it tomorrow if the bet stands and may add a proposition bet as well.
News & Notes
- The Gronkowski picture scandal is a big nothing, he can barely keep a straight face when he was interviewed at his locker. I am sure the guys on the practice field had the Polish jokes flying today. It will also be nice to see the BiBi (love that spelling) Jones head cutouts that will be donned at the Steelers game. Should be some good signs as well. The biggest piece of info from this story is what a twitter whore Gronk is!
- The other World Series on my TiVo (wonder if this is where BiBi got the spelling idea) is the World Series of Poker. While I am sure if you follow poker the way I do then you already know the November 9 (the final 9 players left). It has always been a little maddening to have this event take place in July over 8 days, and then have it spoon fed to us over months in the form of 2 one hour installments every Tuesday night on ESPN. But the quality of the broadcast are good, and you don’t sit through wasted boring hands. This will not be the case when the new format comes this November 7th. I have to say it will be long and interesting and I will watch and may even provide live updates here. Check out the new format. I am a fan of the way the irishman O’Dea, and Giannetti, handle themselves at the table. I am not a fan of Lamb, Bounahra, or Heinz who play the roles of overconfident jerk, buffoon, and creepy German guy respectively. This event is ripe for betting, but be warned that skill can only take you so far and luck is no doubt the tenth player at the table. - Other shows to watch/TiVo = 1.Survivor. Not a good season or cast, but an addict is an addict. 2. I Shouldn’t be Alive. Most are well done reenactments of some pretty crazy situations, but some episodes you get the feeling they have stretched the truth as to how much danger they were really in. One time a guy rolled over his ATV and was trapped overnight about 100 yards from a house with people in it, “Then the wolves could be heard in the distance”….please.

In regards to the Gronkowski picture with the hot girl, even if he shouldn’t have done it, I don’t know why people would mock him with “Polish jokes”. So called “Polish jokes” came from Nazi propaganda and were introduced into the US by NBC-TV and Hollywood. If an Italian guy, Black guy or Jewish guy did something wrong, would it be OK if people make ethnic insult jokes about them?

I was merely saying that I am sure his teammates will be making polish jokes, which I am sure they did. As for you second question the answer is yes…if its funny.
